Tommasini Super Prestige vintage road bike 1989 Shimano Dura Ace 7400 58,5cm

58.5 cm seat tube (c-c) x 57cm top tube (c-c). Irio Tommasini is a name well known in the hall of fame of artisan bicycle builders in Italy. Hailing from Grosetto , northern Italy, Tommasini has become synonymous to the finely crafted, attention to detail, elaborate craftsmanship of bicycles. Tommasini began building bikes in the late 1940s after also being a successful cyclist himself. The Super Prestige model is as name suggest one of the most elaborate ornate frames that Tommasini produced during the 1980s and 1990s.

Each boasting it's unique paint job results in pretty unique looking bicyels. The chromed lugs, rear stays and fork are in very good condition on this bike.

The paint is a cream white with marble pattern on it. A bit of missing paint on the left side of the seat lug reveales the chrome underneath.

There is no rust point to be seen on this frame. The paint on top tube on the right side has received a yellow tint (due to sun exposure probably) but that adds to the patina feel.

The bike is fitted with complete Dura Ace 7400 STI 8 speed groupset that works smooth. The bottom bracket is Campagnolo Super Record. Wheels are build of Mavic Open SUP rims laced to Dura Ace hubs and Contintental GP 4000 Black / Orange Yellow tires.
